SAFRAN UNLEASHES INTEGRATED TECHNOLOGY IN NEW VERSION 3.6

Applications combine project planning, execution, forecasting, cost management and earned value

STAVANGER, NORWAY and ALBUQUERQUE, NM, July 31, 2008 – Safran Software Solutions (Safran) and Safran North America (N.A.), manufacturers of the most powerful “one solution” project management software on the market today, today announced the commercial release of Safran Project and Safran for the Microsoft Project Platform version 3.6.

Safran version 3.6 introduces an integrated solution built from the project plan that not only includes planning and resource management, but also cost management of projects using internal and external rates, indirect cost accounts, portfolio management, baseline control, performance management including earned value management for those organizations operating under the ANSI 748 standard, variance analysis and an organic chart and graphing engine for project analysis. In addition, in order to serve its growing federal and defense market, Safran version 3.6 includes standard U.S. federal government reporting under Department of Defense (DoD) and Office of Management and Budget (OMB) guidance. Safran has also enhanced its compatibility with major scheduling applications such as Primavera ® and Microsoft® Project, as well as the auto-import of budget actual from commercial accounting systems.

The new 3.6 enhancements are available in both applications, which are completely compatible.
