Overview
Unlike other add-on solutions which are often
modularized and confusing with limited functionality, Safran for
Microsoft Project is a true add-in to Microsoft® Project, providing
seamless integration between Microsoft® Project and Safran. Now
you can run planning scenarios against baseline, control baselines,
create and manage project portfolios, record and analyze performance,
and create and view earned value charts, graphs and reports directly
from Microsoft Project.
Safran for Microsoft Project is technically the
most advanced and powerful project management add-in to enhance
the functionality of Microsoft Project on the market today. It’s
added seamlessly into Microsoft Project client as a menu item,
and can auto-detect when operating in a Microsoft Project Server
environment to map in enterprise fields. Safran for Microsoft
Project publishes Microsoft Project activity detail information,
network logic, calendars, resources, custom fields, etc. into
the Safran database with a click of a button, which is an integral
part of Safran’s extended functionality.
Setting up and configuring Safran for Microsoft
Project is hands off. Simply clicking on a setup.exe installer,
Safran for Microsoft Project is deployed and ready for immediate
use. A Sybase SQL Anywhere database is automatically configured,
or user’s can point to an enterprise database like Microsoft SQL
Server. The Safran System Administration module enables IT professionals
to execute the scripts to create the Microsoft SQL database schema,
which too is a hands off process. Within a matter of minutes,
user will be benefiting from the power and flexibility Safran
for Microsoft Project has to offer to support the successful planning
and execution of your projects.
